This Week at Shaw:

Tuesday – Math Tutoring will be provided by our Partner in Education, University of Phoenix, every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-4:30 in room 206. Our softball team travels to Hardaway. Game time is 4:30. Our volleyball team hosts Northside & Columbus. Game time is 5:00. There is a cross country meet at 5:45.

Also on Tuesday, come to Shaw’s Spirit Night at Dairy Queen on Whittlesey Boulevard (see attachment). Please remember to place your receipt in the bucket at the register!   
  
Wednesday – During advisors, our freshmen class will participate in the R2G Class of 2020 Commitment Ceremony in the auditorium. Our softball team hosts Jordan. Game time is 4:30. Our JV football team travels to Columbus for a 5:00 game. Our volleyball team travels to Opelika. Game time is 5:00.

Thursday –Our JV volleyball team travels to Brookstone for a 5:30 game. The varsity football team plays Cairo at Memorial Stadium. Game time is 7:00. Tickets are $5 and go on sale this Tuesday at Shaw.

Saturday – Our cross country team travels to Fort Benning for the Spencer Invitational.

9/14/16 - Some very exciting news for one of our Football players, senior Nick Beason. Nick was recognized by the website RecruitGeorgia.com for his standout performance against Harris County last Thursday night.

Also, Congratulations to Semia Houston of the Cross Country team for coming in first place in their meet yesterday with a 5K time of 23.02. Awesome job Semia.

Volleyball picked up two big region wins over Americus and Carver yesterday @ Northside. Congratulations to Coach Mitchell and the Volleyball team.

9/8/16 - WTVM honored the latest Kinetic Credit Union Golden Apple Award winner.

She’s 9th grade science teacher Peyton Profitt who accepted the award from News 3’s Carlos Williams. Profitt was nominated by former student Amber Morrell who described her as a passionate and dedicated teacher.

Morrell says Ms. Profitt helped her through all aspects of her school and home life. Profitt was honored to receive the award. Congratulations from the Shaw Raider Family!

9/7/16 - Congratulations to Coach Stamey and the Football team for a win in their first home game of the season last Friday, defeating Kendrick 21-14 at Kinnett. Great job.

9/7/16 - The Softball team had a big region win at home against Hardaway 16-14. Keep up the great work.

9/7/16 - The Volleyball tallied wins over Callaway and a nice region win last night over Hardaway.
