Senior Exit Meeting Schedule 2014 - 15

The week of 9-15-14:

Tuesday we have a cross country meet at Kinnett Stadium. The meet begins at 5:00 PM and admission is free. Also, the volleyball team also has a match at Hardaway. Match time is at 6:00 PM.
Wednesday has the JV football team in action against Hardaway. The game is at Shaw and begins at 5:00 PM. The volleyball team will take on Kendrick in our gym. Match time is 4:30 and admission is $5.00.
Thursday, we will have the R2G commitment ceremony for our 9th graders at 1:45 in the auditorium. In the evening we will have our ring ceremony for our 11th graders at 6:30 in the auditorium. The softball team travels to take on Columbus High. Game time is 4:45. The 9th grade football team will take on Northside at Shaw. Game time is 5:00 PM.
Friday the varsity football team will play Northeast Macon at Kinnett Stadium. Game time is 7:30. Tickets will be on sale at Shaw for $5 beginning on Wednesday. If you wait to purchase your ticket at the gate, the price increases to $7.00.

Mr. Cobb wanted to let you know the Sound of Silver Marching Band will be performing at Memorial Stadium this Saturday for the Columbus Youth Football League @ 9:30 AM (National Anthem @ 10 AM) and the band will perform at the 3 PM Show of the Shrine Circus at the Civic Center. We would love to see everyone at either performance.

Homecoming week – September 29 – October 3
Activities during the week include:

  • Hall parade
  • Dress up days
  • Bonfire (with music and relay type games)
  • Door decorating contest
  • Hall decorating

We are looking for clubs/organizations/sports groups to enter a float in the hall parade. More details will be provided later.

Please let Mrs. White know if your club/sport would like to have a booth to sell concessions during the bonfire. This year the bonfire activities will begin at 6:00pm and end at 9:00pm.
We are looking for groups to sell popcorn, drinks, burgers, etc.

Jacobe Love performed at Nationals in Brave New Voices!

His group poem (which he slammed with another young lady from MCSD) was chosen to be recognized by YouthSpeaks and is now on Youtube; click the following link:

Also, Jacobe scored 28.8 and 28.5 out of 30 on both of his poems! What an awesome Shaw Raider!!
